Our Mission
In the immortal words of Alan's favorite poet, Rudyard Kipling:
"If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son."
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And-which is more-you'll be a Man, my son."
The Bruce Alan Ebersole Scholarship Foundation seeks to propagate the values
and unquenchable spirit embodied by the late Bruce Alan Ebersole '07. A conspicuous
classmate and treasured teammate, Alan possessed a passion for Princeton University,
believed in broad-based liberal arts education enhanced by international experience, and
excelled in swimming and his study of the Spanish language. The Foundation seeks to
honor Alan's memory by identifying other undergraduate scholar-athletes who also share
these same passions for exploration by facilitating their becoming better citizens of the
world. In this fashion, the Foundation seeks to perpetuate Alan's zeal for sport, thirst for
knowledge and responsibility to the bigger picture.
